The Challenge & Vision
A practice running six days a week with no scope to close. The existing vinyl was lifting at the seams in the treatment rooms, and infection-control requirements ruled out anything with an open joint. We needed a floor that could be cleaned to clinical standard, and a programme that never took more than one room out of service at a time.
The Solution
Works ran in nightly stages, one room per shift, each handed back cleaned and ready for the morning list. We specified a hybrid plank with a tight 5G join and a sealed perimeter behind the skirting, so there is no gap for fluid to track into. Coved junctions at the wet areas finish the floor without a silicone seam to fail.

Project Roadmap
Eleven night shifts, one room at a time, zero cancelled appointments.
Night 1: Survey
Moisture testing and room-by-room sequencing agreed with the practice manager.
Night 2: Prep
Existing vinyl lifted and the slab ground back and primed, room by room.
Nights 3–10: Fit
Hybrid plank laid and perimeter-sealed, each room handed back before 7am.
Night 11: Handover
Coving completed, clinical clean, and sign-off with the infection-control lead.
